CAD Designer/Technician Designer
Role Overview
We are a creative and busy office that specialises in the design of retail interiors working on POP and POS designs for prestigious luxury brands.
We are looking to take on an experienced Creative designer, ideally with knowledge of the retail design sector to join our team. The right applicant would ideally come from an Interior design background/degree as position is to design shopfitting and promotional unitary for use in store retail environments.
The ideal candidate will have experience using 3DS Max and AutoCAD or very similar software. Please note, this is not a graphic design position.

Key Responsibilties:
To take client briefs from Account Managers and Project Managers
To attend client meetings and briefings, and take briefings, look over brief/guidelines and work out if we have everything to start the job
To attend promotion meetings to discuss workflow and design capabilities
To work using 3DMax and Auto CAD software to produce high quality renderings and plans
Support the team of Account Managers and other designers where necessary
To support the team of account managers and manage a small team of designers
To respect confidentiality of clients in respect of projects, artwork, budgeting and client contact details
To check design work completed by team, ensure guidelines are followed and to ensure renders are to a professional standard and materials used are feasible
Complete all other tasks as reasonably requested
Liaise with the Manufacturing Team, including carpentry, spray and print departments to follow through a project
To follow company health and safety guidelines
Qualifications/Requirements:
Proficient in 3DS MAX
Proficient in AutoCAD
At least 5 years’ experience in retail design and managing a small team
Ready to hit the ground running in our established design studio
Have a good understanding of build methods, production processes and manufacturing materials
Ideal candidate will also have:
Achieved university degree or equivalent in Interior Design
Great attention to the finer details
Good timekeeping
Be able to work on own initiative
High level of motivation and willing to learn
Always striving to learn and improve their skill-set
